3 Phase Energy Meter Connection Diagram Explanation

A three phase kWh meter have 8 terminals where we can enter the serves line supply which come form a utility pole or substation / step down transformer. In these connection the 4 points for incoming Line 1, L2 , L3 and neutral and other 4 are for out going 3 phase 4 wire supply to load. Note that this an simple connection like single phase energy meter but the differences between the single phase kWh meter and three phase is just that, we use single phase energy for one phase and neutral load measure in kWh and three phase energy meter we use for for 3 phase in kilowatt-hours.

(note that always use the 4 core electric cable for 3 phase kWh meter connections which wires color code is red, yellow , blue and black.)
